Last week was certainly an adventure, but it looks like winter has started in earnest now. With the weather getting colder, we should inspect the library to make sure there won't be any leaks affecting the books. It weathered fine last year... aside from that incident with the wall, but we can't be too careful.

Also, the book club is still holding monthly meetings, for any New or Old Feathers who may be interested. This month's book is "Peter Pan," a fantasy story from Earth. There are several copies reserved at the front desk. The next meeting is two weeks from now, on the 21st, so there's plenty of time to read.

[And after writing this, Estelle can be found in the library, working with the ledgers that record checked out books. She glances over the call number of each one, before marking it as returned and placing it on a shelving cart. She's also softly humming this, in a tone suitable for the library atmosphere.

And because I fail and haven't posted in a bit - Estelle would have returned to normal library duty likely during the week of the egg project, now that Alexei's arrival has simmered somewhat.]

I'm sorry, Patchouli, but I'm afraid that something's come up and until it's sorted out I won't be able to be at the library as much as usual. I'll let you know as soon as the situation changes.

Um... I'd also like to repeat Flynn's warning from earlier. Alexei is very skilled at deceiving people... we were all taken in, once. Please be careful, everyone.

[For those at home, Estelle is in the living room by a window, staring out at the rain. She has a book with her but she seems lost in thought.]

[An unfamiliar blonde man is looking down at the journal with a somewhat confused expression. There are trees in the background, and he is shirtless, wearing only the New Feather outfit.]

...Excuse me? This is Estelle, but, does anyone know who this man is? I think he may be a New Feather...

Um... I'm heading back to the house, Yuri, Flynn. If you see my body around could you stop her... him?

What in the world is going on outside? Patchouli, can't you lead your fight to the woods or the desert? At this rate people are going to be hurt! Oh, but I suppose she can't hear this anyway... If anyone needs help, please let me know.

...On that note, are there any healers who can mend broken bones more quickly? I don't expect much, but... Hayato's been injured, and I've done all I can.

[assuming she went and found gokudera after beatrice's post and dragged him to the clinic. at the moment, she is over there visiting.]

That was certainly a lively experiment. It's better that it's over, but it was actually rather fun at times. The pageant, especially; everyone looked wonderful.

I'll be returning to the library full-time after today as well. The book club meeting for the month is next weekend; as I mentioned last meeting, we're discussing "The Hobbit," so I hope everyone will attend!

Things here have become exciting very quickly. It's a big adjustment for us all, but it's truly wonderful to have Jonah in the house. I know I've said it to you both several times already, but congratulations again, Judith and Yuri.

Until things are settled, though, I'm unfortunately not going to be at the library as much as usual. I'll leave it to you, Patchouli; I'm sure you can handle everything. It's also almost the start of another month already. We should start preparing for the book club meeting soon.

Draco, I apologize but I'm going to have to postpone the lessons as well. Would starting next month be all right? It should give you more time to settle in, too.

It's really a beautiful day today. I should go outside for a while...

[Action, Accidental Voice]
[Estelle is outside the house, near the tire swing. Due to the summer heat she is wearing a pink sundress instead of her usual heavier dresses. However, she isn't using the swing, or reading a book like you might expect-- she is holding a thin rapier, and seems to be concentrating intently as she works through a series of intricate steps.]

Un, deux, trois...

[three jabs forward, then a quick spin as though to block a blow from behind. The journal lies forgotten under the trees, the breeze gently turning pages.]

It seems introducing yourself is the new trend. I'm not a very reclusive person, but it's never a bad thing to have more friends.

Let's see... My name is Estellise, but most everyone calls me Estelle. I've been in Luceti for ten months now. I'm almost 19 years old and my world is called Terca Lumireis. Its technology is less advanced than some places I've heard of here, and dangerous at times with the monsters, but it's very beautiful. Our world has magic and I can use healing artes, so feel free to ask me if you need help. In my spare time I enjoy reading, so you can usually find me at the library. I helped to organize the collection, too, so I can probably assist if you need to find anything.

Speaking of the library, since it's a new month the monthly book club is coming soon, next Sunday. I know last month was missed because of busy schedules, but I'd like to continue, if everyone is still interested. We'll be discussing "Macbeth," a play by a man called Shakespeare who is apparently famous on some worlds.

I've invited my friend Buffy for dinner tonight, so I hope everyone doesn't mind.

[Estelle is in the kitchen, preparing vichyssoise and several side dishes. She's makingmore than usual because of the guest. Pretend this is actually on time, I meant to post last night. >.> Action is welcomed if anyone wants to play out the dinner.]

[Estelle is sitting on the newly made tire swing, writing in her journal. A normal book sits in the grass nearby.]
Luceti has a completely different atmosphere than many of us are used to. I'm sure we all have something we miss having access to. If you could bring one object from your home here to Luceti, what would it be?

...And speaking of missing items, has someone misplaced a white case? I found it by the forest while I was walking earlier.

[It's a pretty day, so despite Estelle still feeling a little off from her adventure during the experiment, she's going to head outside to read. She's sitting beneath a tall tree, with a book on her lap and a stack of books beside her (including the journal, which has fallen open a little.) She's not reading, thoigh-- instead, she's staring thoughtfully up at one of the higher branches.]

It would be nice to have a swing here...

[Residents of the Vesperia Hotel can find her sitting on the couch, with a book open on her lap as usual; but she's looking at the small object in her hands instead of at the page.]

What are you people complaining about now? It's an experiment. Shut up and get over it.

I'm going to be at the library, so don't bother me. Somebody has to keep things organized there since Aziraphale's skipping out of the job. I don't know why I even bother, none of you really appreciate books anyway.

Those who had interest in the book club, we're holding the first meeting tomorrow afternoon in the library. Mr. Aziraphale has picked out a selection of fairytales and folk stories for us to begin our discussion. We'll also be voting on what to read next.

I'm already excited! I know it's going to be a lot of fun. I'll bring refreshments for everyone, too.

Er, Judith, did you happen to notice anything strange last night? I kept hearing odd noises that sounded like they were coming from your room. I hope we don't have mice or something like that...
