| ONCE UPON A TIME, a princess lived in a shining white castle. The princess had everything she could ever want, except she could never leave. All day she read books about the fantastic lands outside the capital and watched the world from her window. One day, a knight came to save the princess... except the knight had quit being one and wasn't intending to find her at all. Nonetheless, he pulled her along on an adventure that let her see what she'd been dreaming of for so long. Many times the princess wondered if leaving the castle was the right idea. It had been her life for so many years, after all. But this new world was wide, and wonderful, and yet so fragile. So much so, in fact, that her very existence put it in danger. Still, the princess did not give up. She traveled, and made friends, and learned truths that could never be written down in books. And little by little, she is discovering that this is how she wants to keep living. |
